A Rudimentary Guide To Understanding My DanganRonpa AUs

If you're looking at this carrd, it's more likely than not because I've given it to you because I am showing you one of my many AUs/Universes Altered/Fankids Universes. This is meant to help you understand what all the dumb shit I talk about means. I've tried to include as much as I can and make it cohesive, but if anything is weird or unclear please let me know.

ONE BIG HUGE THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT I CHOOSE TO INTERPRET CHIHIRO'S STORY AS HER BEING TRANSFEM/A TRANS WOMAN SPECIFICALLY. I do not care how you refer to her personally, but when referring to her within the context of MY AU specifically, do NOT use he/him pronouns for her. She uses she primarily, with they auxiliary pronouns. That said, she prefers she/her over they/them.

These next few parts are very text heavy so I'm going to try to break it up as well as I can but prepare for a lot of reading! This first segment covers tips to understanding the timeline as a whole.

Graduation Dates: Mains

Note: the classes of the fangan series Danganronpa Another/Super Danganronpa Another 2 are included here because I wanted to and I like them!

The SDR2/DRA class are in the same year and are the oldest. DRA are the mysterious Class 77-A.The THH/SDRA2 class are directly behind them in the next year and are in the middle. THH is Class 78-A and SDRA2 is class 78-B.The NDRV3 class are the last and the youngest. They’re class 79.SDR2/DRA class graduated in 2010.THH/SDRA2 class graduated in 2011.NDRV3 class graduated in 2012.Chisa, Juzo, and Kyosuke’s class graduated 3 years prior to SDR2/DRA class arriving at Hope’s Peak, making them all 21 in 2007. Daiya is 1 year younger than them so in 2007 he’s 20.Jin and Koichi were in the same class in HPA and Jin was 20 when Kyoko was born making him 38 in 2011 when she graduates. Koichi is the same age.Seiko, Ruruka, and Sonosuke’s class are 1 year ahead of the SDR2/DRA class and graduated in 2009.Also it’s non-despair so the end of the world never happened because Junko isn’t full of despair and got some help <3. She’s still not perfect obviously but hey, it’s better than canon.

Other Important Dates

Juzo and Kyosuke get married in 2009.Kyoko’s mother dies when she’s 10 in 2003 and Koichi and Jin get married in 2007.Daiya’s accident takes place 2 years before Mondo enters HPA, so in 2006 when he’s 19. His son, Yuki, was born when he was 13, so he was born in 2000. He gets Yuki back in 2008 during Mondo’s first year of HPA.Similarly, Syobai’s daughter Tsubaki is 2 when he’s in his second year of HPA and is 16, meaning she was born when he was 14, and was born in 2007.Sato never attempts to kill Natsumi and they eventually end up patching things up.

Family Business

The following parts deal with differences in family relationships from canon! This is where a lot of "weird" headcanons come in that may or may not contradict canon. I don't care about that, so.

Trigger Happy Havoc

Daiya’s alive. Fairly obvious.Toko and Syo are twin sisters rather than Syo being Toko’s alter because… eugh. Toko is still a system, but Syo is not a part of it.Kiyotaka and Ishida are twins, and Celestia is their sister who is older by 12 months. The reason Celestia is in with their class/is unaware of her actual age at first/doesn’t know she’s their sister at first is because she was kidnapped as a toddler.Chihiro and Chiaki are cousins.Akane and Aoi are cousins.Aside from that all family relations remain the same.

SDR2

Nagito and Sonia are twins who were separated as babies.Hajime and Izuru are twin brothers, not the same person because again… it bothers me as a system.Sato and Juzo are half-siblings through their father.Ruruka, Sonosuke, and Seiko didn’t get expelled from HPA thanks to Chisa but Seiko was disowned and Juzo "adopted" her, AKA took her in and let her stay, as his little sister figure (Kyosuke later did the same when they got married).Juzo and Kyosuke also adopt the WOH.

NDRV3

Kokichi and Himiko are twins who were separated early because their mother was forced to give one of them up for adoption (Kokichi) due to her situation.Tenko and Rantaro are half-siblings through their father.Kaito and Leon are cousins.Miyadera isn’t dead while Korekiyo is at HPA, though she is in and out of the hospital due to her health, but the abuse still happens. That said Korekiyo gets out of that situation and Miyadera dies a year after he graduates due to reasons involving Izuru with a gun.Other relationships stay largely the same.Kiibo is a cyborg, not a robot.

DRA/SDRA2

Akane T. and Sora are half-sisters through their mother. Sora and Syobai are half-siblings through their father. Sora’s legal last name is Taira, but she was kidnapped by a cult as a child to become Ultimate Hope and the result of the brainwashing was amnesia.Sora’s actual Ultimate is Ultimate Prodigy.The Voids are all childhood friends, but none are related. Specifically, Emma and Hajime met first, then they met Iroha, then Nikei, and then Mikado.Mikado is… a mix of his AI self and real world self, in that he appears like his AI sprite (his hair is dyed blonde), and he is Ultimate Wizard, however, his personality is more relaxed (most still don’t like him because he’s antagonistic but he’s by no means evil). He also knows how to code extensively but it’s not his talent. (CW for mention of str/kes, highlight to read) He wears the half-mask because the visible side of his face is semi-paralyzed due to a stroke he suffered at a young age, which he is still dealing with the side effects from. At times he also walks with a cane or crutches.Kanade is not a serial killer, nor are there any incestual feelings towards her sister. She’s still kind of a freak though.Yuki and Utsuro are brothers, Utsuro being a year older.Shinji and Setsuka are twins, and both are only about a year older than their peers because of Shinji’s injury (during which Setsuka dropped out to help him recover).Mikako and Kokoro are cousins.Mikako and Yamato were still raised together and are officially adopted siblings. Don’t be nasty <3.
